Rick Perry

UT prefers Football to Education

UT Head Coach Mack Brown and UT President William Powers disuss Financial Problems
I was disappointed when I stumbled into the article “UT Dumps National Merit Program” by Gary Scharrer that reports that my alma mater, The University of Texas at Austin will “stop giving scholarships to some of their best and brightest students” due to “economic pressures.”

The program costs the university about $4.4 million a year and honors about $13,000 per student who maintain at least a 3.25 GPA.  Read More »

Perry's Poor Scorecard

Rick Perry gets an F as Governor of Texas!Yesterday, I had the opportunity to meet Governor hopeful Tom Schieffer who is a Democrat from Fort Worth, Texas. Schieffer has represented the United States as Ambassador to Japan and Australia and was a Texas House Representative in the 70s.

The website went live about 1 month ago and boasts over 21,000 “virtual deputies” while getting over 5 million hits. The program allows anyone with an Internet connection and time to kill ... the ability to monitor 13 cameras for suspicious activity along the southern Texas border with Mexico.  Read More »

Rick the Idiot

When I heard that Barack Obama was meeting with the Governors of the United States, I was ecstatic. Finally, we were getting the ball rolling about stimulating the economy. Obama was meeting with the Governors to discuss about federal aid aimed at the state level.

My only problem was that two Governors did not participate in the meeting. And no, it was not Sarah Palin … she actually showed up. To my disgrace, one of the Governors that did not show up was no other then Rick Perry of my home state of Texas. Editor's Note: It cannot be confirmed that Rick Perry did or did not attend the event thus we shall assume that he did attend.
