Sarah Palin vs. Mike Huckabee for 2012

A CNN poll of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents found that Mike Huckabee and Sarah Palin are leading for the 2012 GOP Presidential nomination. This should come as no surprise as conservatives felt that Mike Huckabee was their best choice but John McCain managed to squeak by.

Sarah Palin was then introduced to the national  scene and everything changed. She was credited with rallying the base and everything else was history.

John Burke adds, "Huckabee burst into the big time by winning the Iowa caucuses and then gave John McCain a tough time in a bunch of southern states. Meanwhile, Palin fever seems not to have cooled for a lot of more conservative voters, although Huckabee still beats her by nine points among evangelical Christians."  Read More »


On the Joe Lieberman Acquittal

If I were not rational, pragmatic or relied on emotions … I would probably call for Joe Lieberman’s blood. “Feed him to the wolves,” I would proclaim but at the end of the day that is not how it occurred or did it?

Senate Democrats secretly voted to decide the fate of Lieberman and nothing happened. Surprising? Not really and here is why.

First, we need to know what got Lieberman into this mess. Well that is quite elementary you see; Lieberman’s role in the John McCain camp was disrespectful, dishonorable and cutthroat.

Not only did he campaign for John McCain, he spoke at the Republican Convention where he served as a surrogate for the McCain camp. He danced to the tune of the GOP and helped spread a message of hate and lies abut the Barack Obama campaign.  Read More »


The Self-Destruction of the Republican Party

It had not even been one day and the Republican Party is amidst a self-destruction path. The bloodbath will begin, heads will roll and scapegoats will receive no mercy from a devastated and upset party.

Who is to blame? The GOP is like an out of control mob ready to pick up the first victim and crucify them to warn others of what they are capable.
Is President Bush at fault or perhaps Senator John McCain … it is easier to scapegoat a “Wassila Hillbilly” like Sarah Palin as long as at the end of the day someone’s blood spills.  Read More »
