After Troopergate blew up last week, I understood the statement-released hours later by the McCain/Palin camp. The spin was obvious but I did not expect the epic delusional steps that Sarah Palin has taken to spin the issue at hand.
Palin told reporters on Saturday that she was "very pleased to be cleared of any legal wrongdoing, any hint of any kind of unethical activity there."
Say what? … This was her first attempt to make it seem like the finding had exonerated her of any wrongdoing. This was of course the opposite.
The Anchorage Daily News called Sarah Palin’s response as "an embarrassment to Alaskans and the nation."
The newspaper adds, "Her response is either astoundingly ignorant or downright Orwellian.... Palin's response is the kind of political 'big lie' that George Orwell warned against. War is peace. Black is white. Up is down.”
