The Future of Online Gaming

I like anticipating what the future of gaming will be and its impact on social interactions. I was interested in the approach that World Golf Tour took to establish a fascinating game with a unique business model.  Read More »

23% of Texans think Obama is Muslim

Obama is a Muslim according to 23% of Texans polled by the University of Texas. That is close to 1 in 4 people that have the wrong facts on the first African-American presidential candidate.

Think about … if you conjure up three other friends in your head, one of you believes he is a Muslim. That is a pretty high number at this late in the campaign season.

Richard Dunham reports, “The Texas numbers are unusual because most national polls show that just 5 to 10 percent of Americans still believe Obama is a Muslim.”

It seems no matter what Barack Obama does, there will be a small minority that has their facts wrong. That group seems to be giving John McCain and John Cornyn an edge this election season.  Read More »

Bush Economics Dead Weight

The Hate in the PA

There is only 1 week left before this political circus is over but this next week will seem like an eternity. A week ago I spoke about how this home stretch would get nasty.

The hate has started in disproportional numbers. As the race heats up in battle ground states such as Nevada or Pennsylvania, the ignorant portions of our population make their way out of the woodwork.

In this YouTube clip, you get an idea of the venom that some McCain/Palin supporters walk around with. It is amazing that there are still individuals that are racist in 2008.

One individual claimed "I do not want to sound racist here, but I don't want a black man running my country."

I am grateful that someone decided to film these events and share it with the online community. If America appears this divided, how do we rectify it? What about the racism ... how do we combat that as well?  Read More »

Kat Williams on the Clintons, Obama & McCain

If Obama Wins ...

Will McCain supporters rebel? The way they describe Barack Obama itseems justifiable that John McCain will lead a revolt against Obama.

Will they get a gun and shoot this anti-America, terrorist friend, Muslim believer, Koran thumping President or will they wait for someone else to do it?  Read More »

Sarah "Diva" Palin Goes Rogue

As the Ship Begins to Sink

With a week left before the General Election, it seems that the McCain/Palin camp is self-destructing as we speak. A McCain advisor has stepped forward criticizing Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin for her recent off the cuff actions.

CNN reports:

McCain sources say Palin has gone off-message several times, and they privately wonder whether the incidents were deliberate. They cited an instance in which she labeled robocalls -- recorded messages often used to attack a candidate's opponent -- "irritating" even as the campaign defended their use. Also, they pointed to her telling reporters she disagreed with the campaign's decision to pull out of Michigan.

A second McCain source says she appears to be looking out for herself more than the McCain campaign.  Read More »

The Socialism that Does/Does Not Exist

The latest McCain/Palin attack during these final days before the election has been to label Barack Obama as a “socialist” as if that were really a negative, right? Well, apparently most Americans think that “socialism” is bad but then again most Americans have no clue what the heck “socialism” is.  Read More »

Finding an Excuse ...

I have been getting feedback from many people lately that former Barack Obama supporters are crossing the line because they believe John McCain's assertions that he will raise taxes.

I do not understand this. It is common knowledge that over 90% of Americans will benefit from an Obama tax plan. Now these same people are shooting themselves in the foot by voting for McCain. Why is that?

Call me cynical but I think some of those folks did not have a valid reason to support McCain. They may have some prejudice or racism that does not want them to see an African-American as president. So, they will find any excuse.

Others will publicly claim that they like Obama or even support him just so they will appear as someone that does not let race dictate their political view when deep down it does.  Read More »
