This is the David Ortez Political/Social Thought Blog. It offers opinions on current political/social issues from the youth latino’s perspective. Occasionally, Ortez entertains relevant media or technological trends. Ortez obtained a bachelors degree in Government with a minor in Communications from the University of Texas at Austin and is currently a rising 2L at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law in Houston, Texas.

Ortez is a pragmatic progressive that loves to travel and is addicted to technology. He also like to run and take photographs. Ortez considers himself a red wine sipping intellectual that is open-minded and rather handsome.

While not blogging or studying for class, Ortez enjoys taking photographs which you may find on his Flickr page with either his Nikon D80 or D90 SLR camera. Ortez is an avid graphic designer in tune with current Web 2.0 trends and Social Media networks.

Ortez loves to read and in his spare time he reviews books in the Political or Legal field. Ortez is in the process of training to run in his first marathon.

Ortez is an Apple fan boy with a beautiful 17 inch MacBook Pro as his primary weapon. Sometimes, you may observe Ortez with his secondary weapon which is his iPad. When on the go, Ortez stays wired via his iPhone.

Ortez loves to travel and dreams of visiting every continent before he expires. Ortez has traveled to over 13 countries, 40 cities in 3 continents. Ortez is Hispanic with family roots in El Salvador. He fluently speak Spanish, English and am confident with Portuguese.

Ortez is available for speeches and lectures in the realm of technology and its impact on legal, political or social issues in particular but not limited to young latinos.
