Save the Date: Perry and Palin Stop in Houston!
The circus is coming to Houston on Sunday, February 7, 2010!
Correction … Texas Republican Governor Rick Perry and former Alaska Republican Governor and Vice-Presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be in the 713 for a rally supporting King Perry as he seeks to retain his throne from the one they call Kay Bailey-Hutchinson.
It is surprising that Palin has time to stump for anyone as she just joined FOX News as a contributor and is touring America as she attempts to bribe folks to read her book. Some people say, FOX News de facto phrase to insert their commentary in news reports, that Palin is stopping in Texas in order to gain some much needed Foreign Policy experience. She was told that you can see Mexico from Texas.
Perry states:
"I look forward to standing with Sarah to promote our shared conservative values of limited government, low taxes and individual freedom. Gov. Palin is a true conservative leader whose priorities and message resonate with Texans, and I am honored to have her in Texas supporting my campaign."
In a letter released to the Texas Federation of Republican Women in February of 2009, Palin explains why she endorsed Perry over Hutchinson. She notes that “not every child is born into ideal circumstances, but every life is sacred. Rick Perry knows this — it is at the core of his being."
Apparently Perry and Palin did not get the memo from Pastor David Grisham of Amarillo who released “Boycott Houston” for the Internet to enjoy. According to Grisham, Houston is “a Texas version of San Francisco" and "the abortion capital of America." One may surmise that Grisham is referring to the “Abortion Supercenter” off I-45.
The Perry campaign has not disclosed the venue or a time but you can register for tickets in the mean time. Stay tuned as more details will be released as the date approaches.
