Roy Morales Endorses Annise Parker
Hot off the presses folks is this mailer from former Houston Mayoral Candidate Roy Morales. In fact, it is soo hot, the ink got on my fingers.
Click on the images to view the mailer in its entirety. Unfortunately, my scanner is not large enough for the mail piece which I will speculate is 11x17. I had to Photoshop paste this together so that you could view it as a whole.
Surprisingly, Gene Locke did not respond to Morales requests and by default it seems that Annise Parker kind of won the endorsement. Actually, consider it more of a non-endorsement endorsement.
It looks like Parker campaign intended for this to get in the right hands ergo Conservatives because they chipped in and paid for the printing which it seems non-union as well.
Even though Roy Morales did not endorse Parker ... I only said it in jest ... this is more of a slap to the face to Gene Locke or how Erik Vidor so eloquently puts it, "I wouldn't call it an endorsement but rather a fuck [yo]u to Gene from Roy."
In fact, Morales is smart about the way he handled this situation. He was never going to endorse anyone ... it would look bad in 2011 when he decides to challenge the winner of this runoff election. He could always risk it but if he ended up endorsing the winner ... well let's just say the Mayor he would challenge would use that endorsement until he dropped out or lost.
Either way, I will let you conclude for yourself about this Morales mailer. There is nothing shocking ... I just wanted to pass this along.
