Annise Parker Makes it Official!

Although I was unable to attend the event … I did want to share that Annise Parker has officially filed as a candidate for Mayor of Houston.

The Parker Campaign adds:

Stace Medellin, who attended the rally, reports that “a huge and diverse group of supporters gathered at City Hall today to help celebrate Annise Parker’s official entry into the race for Mayor. Along with MC Lani Griffith, representatives from UNITE HERE, the Seafarers Union, HOPE, and SEIU helped introduce Parker before a rousing endorsement from former local TV man and businessman Antonio Hernandez.”

Martha Griffin adds some additional insight into the event noting a good line from Annise Parker who claimed, “I know y’all are sweating out here with me and my opponents will be sweating until November!”
