Social Media is Kryptonite to the GOP!

Harris County Republican Party Facebook 101 Seminar

The local Harris County Republican Party is enterting the 21st century and what better way to engage in technology then to bring their constiuents along for the ride.

They have  scheduled “Facebook 101” seminars in order to train their base … so they could engage in the political arena on the internet.

In an email blast, Jared Woodfill stated:

Thursday's Facebook training proved to be such a popular event that we had to cut off reservations shortly after our previous email blast announcement. Therefore, this coming Thursday, July 23rd, 6:30 pm at HCRP Headquarters, we will once again be offering basic Facebook training. You will learn how to create your own account and sign in, create a profile, configure privacy settings, find friends, how to keep up with your friends, and how to add links and video to your page.

Be aware that space for these sessions is limited, so please make sure and reserve a seat by calling 713-838-7900 or email Marc Cowart at: marc.cowart@harriscountygop.com.

Although the seminar already took place … I found the photograph of the event interesting.  Look at it again … notice anything interesting?  How about the makeup of the audience?

At first I thought I was looking at an image of bingo at a retirement home but nope … that is your local GOP grassroots movement.

The Harris County GOP is on life support both literally and figuratively. What do you think?  Are the Harris County Democrats off any better?

One thing is for sure … we will have more old republicans forwarding those damn emails about Obama being a Muslim or how he was born in Kenya or Obama is [insert lie here] and the destruction of America is imminent.
