Stimulus Watch: Keeping an Eye on Our Money!

In the Information Age ... everyone and anyone can be held accountable. Websites start up by the millions everyday but there are a select few that will have the utility that Stimulus Watch will for Americans these next months.

StimulusWatch.org is a non-partisan, volunteer website in which all projects that will be funded by the Economic Stimulus Plan are listed by location, decription, cost, project type and an estimate of jobs that will be created.

The Obama Administration is not far behind as they have indicated that Recovery.org will serve a similar purpose. This will be intresting as one can easily compare projects on both websites to get a better picture of what is going on.

Texas has the most projects on the list after Florida. Suprisingly, Arlington, a suburb of Dallas and Fort Worth has more projects than Houston.

Austin received national heat for a Ultimate Frisbee Golf Course that ran a ticket price of over $800k and only created about 4 jobs. As for Houston, they have Street/Road and Water Projects lined up.

I recommend checking out both websites to keep up with how our Economy is being stimulated. Let me know what you think of the websites.
