Intellectualism is the New Black!

As the term of the Bush Administration reaches its final day … the start of the Obama Administration will be the birth of a new age in America.

No election caught the youth’s attention like the one that took place in 2008. At times I enjoyed the fight between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama more than the John McCain one.

Perhaps, it was because Clinton was a formidable opponent who actually challenged and tested the Obama campaign. It was cruise control for the McCain-Obama showdown after McCain fumbled around with the economy.

Younger people are now in tune with their Government to a degree. Due to the General Election, we (as young people) as a whole devoted to that historic moment whether or not you supported Obama.

The impact, of the Obama Administration, that reached out to young people via the medium they were most comfortable will continue. This will offer no excuse for a segment of the voting bloc that claims that politicians do not care about them … it seems now they do.

If you missed the weekly Presidential address, no problem … you can check it out on YouTube.

Do you have a burning question? Head over to the Change.Gov website to ask it. Participate with other Americans as you propose and entertain ways to make this country great.

It is now cool to be smart. You didn’t vote … what a loser! There is no excuse. My teacher who is a senior in high school informs me that students are eager to participate in U.S. Government classes (Civics Class) as compared to when I was there 6 years ago.

The next four years will prove to be fun as a new generation that was oblivious to the political spectrum will find out that it is full of gossip and rumors just like the tabloids and blogs they frequent about Hollywood celebrities.

So, the next time you are at a dinner party or social gathering … expect to talk politics. That means you will need to tune up on Domestic & Foreign Policy and keep up with the news so you do not feel left out as others entertain the proposals and bills that Congress votes on.
