The Self-Destruction of the Republican Party
It had not even been one day and the Republican Party is amidst a self-destruction path. The bloodbath will begin, heads will roll and scapegoats will receive no mercy from a devastated and upset party.
Who is to blame? The GOP is like an out of control mob ready to pick up the first victim and crucify them to warn others of what they are capable.
Is President Bush at fault or perhaps Senator John McCain … it is easier to scapegoat a “Wassila Hillbilly” like Sarah Palin as long as at the end of the day someone’s blood spills.
Jim Nuzzo, a White House aide to President George H.W. Bush, took issue with Sarah Palin critics within the Republican Party, calling them "cocktail party conservatives" who "give aid and comfort to the enemy." He even went as far as to predict a “bloodbath” after the election and a lot of people would be “excommunicated."
It seems that the GOP is taking the route to 2012 with Sarah Palin in mind and anyone in the GOP that does not stand well with Palin is out.
John McCain in the last weeks began releasing their opinions about Sarah Palin. She was called everything from “rogue” to “diva” and now new allegations have come to light.
FOX News, you know that elite Liberal media channel reported that the McCain camp struggled with Sarah Palin’s ignorance. From “temper tantrums” to claims that she was “hard to control emotionally,” for some reason I was not surprised with these assertions.
Sarah Palin thought that Africa was a country and could not name the three countries in the North American Free Trade Act (NAFTA), which would be self-explanatory if you knew the three countries in the continent of North America. They added that she refused to prepare for the Katie Couric interview, which may have contributed to the campaign downfall according to experts.
The New York Times claims that Palin and McCain had a “difficult relationship” which may stem from Sarah Palin’s “political ambitions beyond 2008.”
Operation Leper is in current operation by RedState. RedState claims to be “tracking down all the people from the McCain campaign now whispering smears against Governor Palin.”
They “intend to constantly remind the base about these people, monitor who they are working for, and, when 2012 rolls around, see which candidates hire them.” Their end goal is to “go to war against those candidates.”
Michelle Malkin states, “At least all the Hollywood and Manhattan Palin-haters were willing to sign their names and put their faces on their attacks.” She adds, “The anonymous trashing of Sarah Palin by blabbermouth McCain aides who are leaking to Fox News is disgusting.”
As I entertained earlier this week in “Rebuilding the GOP,” Republicans are at a fork in the road and their decision this next year will dictate how they will handle 2012. Check out the YouTube video clip from the FOX News segment.
