Obama ‘08 by H-Town All-Stars
The H-Town All-Stars who consist of Bun B, Chamillionaire, Paul Wall, Cory Mo and Trae have released a complimentary song that whole heartily endorses Barack Obama and urges the listener to vote for change on November 4th.
The song is well produced and intersperses spoken clips from presidential candidate Barack Obama between each lyricist verse. This is a rallying call for those undecided voters that need that extra push or incentive to vote … and vote for the right man for the job.
Bun B claims, “We don’t need a sequel of 4 more years … we need real ideas about the future, not war mongers.” He adds, “Republicans, you had your chance but you blew it. It’s time to turn Texas blue.” Bun B is critical of the Bush Administration and John McCain and details the policies which they have failed to address these past 8 years.
Chamillionaire is critical of FOX News, Government Espionage tactics and throws in a jab to Sarah Palin. “Every answer that I heard from Sarah Palin was lame," Chamillionaire adds. "I hope that Joe the plumber got an empty room for McCain.”
Paul Wall says, “It’s time for change.” He adds a personal approach by talking about his friends in Iraq that have never seen their children. Wall wants you to “take a stand” for leader that will take us out of the “recession” and “uphold our freedoms.”
Cory Mo adds, “It’s more than just gas prices, we living in a national crisis.” He notes that you may regret not voting for change. As Bun B alluded, Cory Mo also calls for support not only for Obama but also for Democrats as a whole. “Or, you could put McCain if you want it to stay the same,” Cory Mo states.
Trae’s verse is the shortest. He claims, “I agree with Barack Obama that its time for a change because I witnessed the last 8 years of our life go down the drain.”
Overall, I liked the song, which is produced by Miami’s Blackout. My favorite verse was from Bun B but Cory Mo was a close second. You may download the song for free and pass it along to friends.
Think of it as a free gift for exercising your civic duty on Election Day. You can check out the song before you download as well. Enjoy!
