Register to Vote by 10/06/08 in Texas!
Some of my friends are not crazy about Politics like I am . . . actually most of them are not but that is why I am their friend. They rely on me to guide them during the confusing and hectic political season we call the General Election.
The Internet has made registering to vote easy. It has also made finding your polling station even easier. It makes sense why you may forget where to vote when you only do it once every four years. Google has decided to step in and help new voters find their voting booth.
You may visit Google Vote Map to find out where you should vote. All you have to disclose is your home address you registered to vote with and voila. But, what if you are not registered? That’s okay, they provide a link so you can register or even request an absentee ballot.
What is an absentee ballot you may ask? Simple, that’s a ballot you request a head of time so you can vote early. This is great option for college students or business professionals that travel a lot and may not be in their hometown to vote. This ballot is mailed out about 2 weeks before the election and you can vote on elections in your home area without having to go back to your home town just to vote.
I would do this in college. Although I lived in Austin during those 4 years, I always voted in Houston elections. It was important to me to vote for a mayor or issues that affected me in Houston. I knew I would always return to Houston when I concluded my university studies so that is why I opted for Absentee ballots.
What if you may have registered but you are not sure. That’s simple! Visit Vote4Change.com so you can check if you are registered and if you are not, they will register you online. It is a win-win option.
Whatever you do, do not procrastinate. You have until Monday, October 6, 2008 to register to vote. Write it on your hand or in your daily planner but whatever you do vote.

I rarely meet such interesting ideas! Not long ago I found an interesting documentary by accident at one rapidshare search engine( http://www.rapidsharemix.com ) and watched it with interest. You never know where you find and where you lose...
